DAY 11 & 12

Sorry if I seem to keep cheating and combining the days, but I really didn't have the time to blog yesterday. The weather has been HORRENDOUS - my allergies have been acting up and they seem to happen the most at night. I can't even breathe through my nose when I sleep anymore. This is what I hate about the rainy season =/

Anyway, here's the latest pictures of me and my high school friends. One of our friends is already married! And my best friend (the one wearing green in the 1st picture) has dengue fever and I visited her in the hospital today. She was so weak and I felt so bad for her. Please pray that she gets better!

I've always loved writing, ever since I was little and I started blogging back when multiply was the latest "it" thing in cyberspace. I just learned of blogger when I started posting in Chictopia. I realized that everyone there had blogs and I wanted to try it out so I moved my blog here. So far so good ;)

DAY 10

Songs you listen to when you are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad

I am a total music lover! ♫♪ I got an ipod speaker a few years back and it has replaced my fm radio. I listen to it every day - when I wake up, when I get home, and before I go to sleep :) Music is a huge part of my life. But typically, on days when I feel sad I listen to love songs that make me even more sad. (crazy, i know) But usually I listen to the latest songs to keep me feeling energized and happy.

Here are some of the songs I'm listening to right now:

1. Esmee Denters ft. Justin Timberlake - Love Dealer
2. DJ Tiesto ft. Nelly Furtado - Who wants to be alone
3. Usher - OMG
4. Sara Bareilles - King of Anything
5. Selena Gomez - Round round
6. Jamie Foxx - Winner
7. David Guetta - Gettin' Over You
8. Leighton Meester (i love her!!) - Your Love's A Drug

Enjoy!

sunday at crimson

last sunday was the last installment on my birthday bash - bb 3. :)

(Dress-topshop; Vest-F21; Bag-F21)

We went to this resort and spa called Crimson. It wasn't what I expected, and there weren't a lot of people. The beach wasn't good, and the pools looked boring too. Plus, it was a looong drive with lots of twists and turns before we got to the destination. I don't plan on going there anytime soon.

DAY 08 & 09

Day 8 - Short term goals and why (let's just skip this one since I don't seem to have any as of the moment)

Day 9 -Something you're proud of in the last few days

I guess I'm really proud of myself for realizing a lot of things in the past few months. I've had some growing up to do in a short span of time and it's a really good thing. It just shows that I am becoming a better person as the days pass, and that God is working His way in me :)

DAY 07 & BB 2

A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

family

I think my family has the most impact on me. Family first, then friends, then everything else :)

Anyway, Birthday Bash no. 2 was just as fun as the first one, and I bet it was even MORE fun. We sang karaoke for almost 3 hours and my voice was hoarse until the next day!

(Top and skirt - olivia and fifth; shoes - aldo)

Perfect way to spend my Saturday night :)

Birthday Bash Part 1

July 23, 2010

Me and my friend S (whose birthday is on the day after mine) had a dinner party with our high school friends at her house in the mountains. It was almost perfect, except it was raining hard and my poor heels almost sunk in the mud :(

(Blazer-shop style diva; Fringe necklace-telebasura; Skirt-loveculture)

But we all had a fabulous time! The weather was perfect for the occasion, and we just kept laughing the entire night :)

DAY 06

Favorite superhero and why

Honestly, I was never a fan of superheroes and the likes. When I was younger I liked to play with my polly pockets and Barbie dolls, but I was never a fan of any superhero. So let's just rephrase the question so I can still give you guys an answer. :)

If you were to become a superhero, what powers would you possess and why?

Now that, I think, is an even better question ;)

I have thought about this for a really long time. If it were true that we could become superheroes and have any kind of special power, I would choose have the power of invisibility. Why? Because I want to be able to see people in their element away from me. I want to know what they think or do when I'm not around. Also, it would be cool if I could suddenly disappear when I'm in danger, or even when I'm in a really uncomfortable situation. I could just become invisible and leave everyone wondering where I went ;)

DAY 04

A habit that I wish I didn't have

Uhmm.. I think it's being "too much." Like when I'm really hungry and there's a buffet in front of me, I end up getting a lot on my plate and then not being able to finish it. In the vernacular, it's called being 'takaw tingin'. LOL. Or when I'm shopping and I suddenly get in the "zone", I end up getting a LOOT of items.

But it's a good thing that I've realized this and I've controlled myself from being too much too fast. Sometimes I still slip up, but not as often anymore :)

So excited for the weekend! Having my post-birthday celebrations today, saturday and sunday! Stay tuned ;)

DAY 03

So here's a picture of me and my friends!

Me with my high school buddies (this is NOT the whole class yet!)

Me and my high school friends go waaaaay back. Most of them I knew since Grade 1! That's because our school is relatively small when it comes to population and the campus. We had only 2 sections from Grade 1 to 5, and only one from Grade 6 on up. Talk about small! Our senior year, there were only 27 of us left. But in a way, it was good because all of us became really close to each other and our bonds are really really strong :)

Me and my college friends (incomplete)

Now my college friends, on the other hand, are a mix of people I never thought I would meet. We had a lot of fun back in college, and I'm glad that until now, the fun never ends :)

Going off topic, today we attended an event sponsored by Citibank, a talk about investments and the likes. It was actually a pretty interesting talk. Plus, there were some prizes at stake to make the afternoon less 'boring'. For 2 days in a row now, I've been randomly seeing ex crushes and it just brings back old memories. Some I would like to remember, and some I wish would have happened.

DAY 02

The meaning behind your blogger name.

Okay, I think that's fairly simple. There's no hidden meaning or surprise to my blogger name. Everytime I make a new account - be it for a social networking site, blog, or email, I like to come up with names that have a certain ooomph to it. I don't like using my name much because it seems a bit boring. And so I think of names that could possibly be a good match.

While creating my account, the song "sweet, sexy thing" popped up, and I wanted to name my blog that at first. But it seemed to cliche already and so I changed the sexy into crazy, and voila! My blogger name was born :)

DAY 01 and F21

(Romper - Mango; Belt - Topshop; Shoes - Aldo)

Recent photo of me - ☑

Now, on to my interesting facts:
15. I'm not really a fan of these kinds of surveys/questions, simply because I get tongue tied and can't think of anything to say. ;)
14. My dream is to become a model someday!
13. I am seriously addicted to online shopping.
12. I have sweaty palms and feet. ew? haha :)
11. I have tons and tons of books!
10. I collected Archie comics when I was little!
9. I have never carried a dog until last year, when we got our toy poodle.
8. I get freaked out easily - emotionally.
7. When someone gets to close, I think I unconsciously try to push them away.
6. I hate the taste of beer. Can't stand it at all.
5. I love accessories more than I love shoes!
4. I am the designated "love doctor" in our batch. And I give damn good advice too ;)
3. I love reading romance novels and feeling all happy and dreamy afterwards ♥
2. I'm not that great with hand-eye coordination. Maybe that's why learning the drums didn't really work out.
1. I hate chocolate flavored ice cream! haha. anything except chocolate! oh, and i don't really like chocolate cakes too. lol

Now let's talk about my Forever 21 experience! I went there last Saturday, July 17. It was the first shop on my Manila trip agenda. Everywhere I looked everyone was bringing Forever 21 shopping bags, which heightened my excitement even more! I wanted to reach there so fast, I could have ran!

I decided to have a plan as to where I was going to look first, what area, etc. I didn't bother to go to the fitting room as the lines were really long! We were pressed for time as it is without having to waste it in a queue.

lovely lovely clothes all around!

Here are my buys. Honestly, I was disappointed because I ended up buying more accessories than clothes. They were out of stock in almost all the small sizes, and there wasn't much to choose from anymore. boo. If this is the case, I think I'd rather go shop abroad then, than suffer the lack of sizes here.

SHANGHAI-ed ❤

When I saw Tricia Gosingtian's post on her blog about the shoe giveaway from Anthology, I thought that this must be one sweet birthday present - if I were to be chosen as winner :)

Who wouldn't love to win a pair of shoes - and from Anthology, no less! And how lucky is it that the shoe they're giving away is in my size? VERY LUCKY, I say ;)

I may not be much of a shoe addict, but I've always had a soft spot for flats. I find that with flats, I can wear them anytime, anywhere without having to worry about when my foot soles would ultimately give up because of exhaustion. I have been looking for the perfect pair of gold shoes and I think the Shanghai shoes are a perfect match. The design is cute and comfortable, and the color is just right.

I love taking picture of my outfits and posting them on my chictopia blog, which is a perfect place to advertise whatever merchandise you might want other people to buy, too :)

If I could get my hands on these babies, I would pair them with casual outfits: like a sailor inspired striped top with denim shorts, or jeans and a button down shirt with lots and lots of accessories! With fancy outfits: like a floral top and bandage skirt, or even with a lovely floral dress! The possibilities are endless!

The good thing about the Shanghai shoes is that it's already a statement on it's own, and you can mix and match without looking too over the top or even underdressed!

Simple, casual, classy.

❤ Shanghai me now ❤

birthday wishes

Today is my birthday :) The day started out good, we had our celebratory chinese breakfast, which looks like this:
Chinese noodles or 'misua' and hard boiled egg wrapped in crepe paper to color it red

It was a normal day since it is a work day and nothing really happens during work days. But I was amazed when I opened my facebook during lunch time at all the greetings that I had on my wall. Birthday greetings or any kind for that matter, are so different now than before. People used to text you or at least call you to wish you a happy birthday, or a merry christmas, or whatever. But now, with technology, people just post it on facebook or tweet you on twitter. What happened to the old times when you would wake up to a cellphone inbox so full of messages that you couldn't even erase them fast enough to receive the new messages coming in? *sigh* I miss that.

Call me old fashioned, but I like it better that way :)

But at least I got to have take out yogurt on the way home ;) ahhh..♡

(Dress: Topshop; Shoes: bought in the States; Bangles: F21; Belt: Mango)

I love the cute details of the dress :)
Plus, who doesn't love a sexy back?? :)

My cute shoes :)

For dinner, we had the also celebratory birthday noodle w/ some take out from our favorite chinese restaurant :) It has been a good day :)

just for the weekend

Friday night we took a plane to Manila just for the weekend. My parents had their separate agendas for the weekend, but the one thing me and my sister wanted to do: SHOP.

So this was me, at the airport waiting for our car.

We went to eat dinner at Bubba Gump - which surprisingly was really spacious and huge! I never knew the inside could seat a lot of people!

The ambiance was great, and it had all these neat writings too! Like this one.

This one is cute :)
And, of course I had to include a picture of my cute little cousin, who kept talking to me all night about the book he's currently reading - The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He's 7 years old and he still can't read all that well. But at least he tries. :)

I haven't posted for a week since I went to the dermatologist and had my face done and I was too ashamed to let you guys see my face while it was still healing. ;)

STATUS - does it really change everything?

Your status - single, married, in a relationship - does it really make a difference?

Imagine this:

After a month of not seeing your girl friends, you decide to meet up for dinner one Friday night to catch up on what's been going on with each other's lives. You look forward to this day for a whole week, already saying on Monday that the weekend can't come fast enough! But then it does.

On Friday, you and 2 of your friends are there at the restaurant, eagerly awaiting one last person to complete the group. She textes you that she's almost there and so you start chatting with your friends. You're eager to see this other friend because out of all of them, she's your closest one. You have soooo much to share and you're so happy that you guys finally got together.

She arrives and all of you cheer in chorus, but your eyes fall to her hand which is holding someone else's hand. You realize that the reservation for 4 just got a plus 1.

What's so wrong with the scenario? Well, it was supposed to be a night out with your girlfriends, but since one of them suddenly had a boyfriend, she just couldn't help but bring him along as well.

I mean, maybe it's because I'm "single" and so I perceive things this way, but I don't think so. I just think that there should be a right time and right place to bring your significant other. Sure, at your own party or at a night out with the gang - bring your guy. But at a 'just the 4 of us' event, or even a high school batch get together, I highly doubt it especially if you're going to be glued to your partner the whole night and not be able to talk to your friends. Forget about it!

I don't feel the need to bring or even invite my guy to EVERY event I go to. I've had boyfriends before, and I was never like that. But it seems that now, all my friends who are attached do feel that need. When did the rules change? Or maybe it's me who is being stubborn about these kinds of situations?
