to be young and 18

I know I have been slacking off on my writing and feel so bad about it. I have just been so busy this past week with attending parties and going out, and there has just been so much stuff to do! This is a backlog post of the debut I attended last Monday night. The celebrant was a close family friend of ours although she and I aren't really that close due to the 5 year age gap I guess.

But anyway, just being able to be at a debut 5 years after my own just makes me nostalgic. I remember my own debut, it was the BEST night of my life! I dreamed about having a debut ever since I could remember, and I was so happy that I got to have everything I wanted down to the blue roses and huge tarpaulin wall that people got to sign on! :)

It was just a simple party, there weren't even that many guests. But as always, it's the thought that counts right? ♥

to have and to hold ♥

Just came back from attending a wedding reception. I haven't been to one of those in AGES and I miss going to weddings. I love weddings because it's an excuse for you to be mushy and gooey and in love, even if it's just for a night. :)

It was a cute reception, the bride and groom entered the room dancing to the beat of Pitbull and J-Lo's "On the floor" which was entertaining and made me want to stand up and dance too. ;)

I'm looking forward to maybe attending more weddings, and this time, it will be my friends getting married! :)

Philippine Fashion Week - Holiday '11

I've always wanted to watch a PFW show but never got the chance to. But I am so happy that this time when I went to Manila, I got the chance :) We watched the show on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 - Memo and L'Oreal feat. Lyle Ibanez and Yvonne Quisumbing. It was a really great show, and I enjoyed it so much! Hoping to more shows to watch in the future :)

BIEBER ROCKS MANILA ♥

May 10, 2011

Watched Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 concert in Manila at the MOA Concert grounds. People wearing purple were already at the venue since 3 in the afternoon just to get a glimpse of Justin!

I am not a huge belieber, but my sister is totally in LOVE with him and she really wanted a chance to get a meet and greet. Too bad we didn't get the opportunity :(

There were reportedly 50,000 people who attended the concert. The place was packed and we were all standing on top of our chairs the whole time since no one wanted to sit down!! We got the Gold-A tickets since we thought it would be near enough. Next time, we're going straight for the VIP!

I may have not been a huge Bieber fan before I went to the concert, but he was good! And somehow I'm beginning to like him more :) There was this moment, before he sang with his guitar, where he looked at the huge crowd. Scanned every single face as far as his eyes could see, and I saw the expression on his face - full of love and amazement at his fans and at the outcome of his concert. I believe that he knows just how lucky he really is, and I hope he continues to do good for the world :)

*The opening act - Poreotics - were really really good dancers! I had so much fun watching them :) Justin's back up singers were really good too, and they were all Filipino!

30 day cleanse

I've noticed lately that people are so focused lately on worldly things and I too have been drawn into that hole. So, I have decided to go on a 30 day spiritual cleanse - which means:

1. No reading of magazines
2. No reading of blogs (I'm sorry. It's nothing personal, but I feel it's part of the process)
3. No checking celebrity gossip sites
4. No checking lookbook/chictopia (i promise to check your looks after a month guys!)
5. No online shopping (this just had to be on the list!)

I  know it may seem a bit too over the top, but I felt like everything I do lately has been revolving around names, brands and the likes. Who's wearing what, who has this and who has that, and I don't like the person I am becoming.

Sometimes it's good to take a break from the world and see yourself for who you really and actually are - without all the other things around you. So I look forward to a month of watching movies, reading books, and just focusing on more important things for a change and I really hope it makes all the difference :)
